We provide a fast response to tool modifications and repairs, to ensure minimum disruption to your production.
Flow Lines are streaks or patterns that show due to irregular flow speed through the bends and contours of the mould. Moulds can be modified to avoid sudden changes in direction and flow rate.
Vacuum Voids can occur when mould parts are misaligned.
Sink marks can be caused when cooling is inadequate or thick wall sections, this can be addressed by reducing the wall sections locally or adding additional cooling.
Surface Delamination is where a thin surface layer appears due to trapped contaminant. This can often be alleviated by improving ejection / venting.
Retro-fitting of Hot Bushes / Nozzles.
Weld Lines appear where molten plastics meet which can be eliminated by redesigning to a single source flow.
Planned maintenance
Our tool maintenance programmes use service interval levels based either on frequency of production run or on number of shots made. Our Tooling Database tracks your tool through its life recording all modifications, repairs and tool work carried out on it. This history provides invaluable information for improvement in design if the component is modified. If you have Tooling or Moulding issues that your existing supplier cannot resolve, we can dismantle the Tool into our Tool room, investigate, report, discuss re-design modify and retrial to achieve the desired quality and cycle time.
